 What is Privacy

Privacy is a need all of us have to have. But in the modern world, people do not care about their privacy when they using the internet and behaving. But most people do not have any idea about what is privacy and why we need privacy for our life. These days it becomes a world-famous topic because of the modification of the Whatsapp privacy policy. 

We can define privacy as " the secureness of our private and sensitive information only with us by not allowing others to know, expose, observe, or reveal our secret and private things and stay free with public attention ".

Privacy over the communication

When we use the internet or tools connect with the internet we should pay more attention to the importance of privacy. Because the internet spread throughout the world, and if we lose our privacy by accidentally exposing something we do not want to expose, then it can affect our whole life and we have to face lots of embarrassing situations by others knowing our secret and private things which should know only by ourselves. So, it is a challenge to secure our privacy in the modern world through communication. And the important thing is on the internet there are numerous users and we do not know how many users are edited on this platform, but the thing is to remember is you are a one-person on the internet and you can not overcome the power of multiple users have on the internet, so we have to be careful to secure our private information on the internet because we can not stop of spreading our private information on the internet.  

Not always hackers violate our privacy by doing hacking things and grab our private secret data, but also we can violate our privacy unknowingly by exposing our private data to others. It always happens when we using social media by posting unwanted things that expose our private and secret things. Normally people posting their day-to-day life on their social media accounts and then everyone can know where he or she stays at the moment and what are doing, so, someone can do a robbery by knowing they are not in the home at that time. And people do not have sufficient attention to their secret password and username of their social media accounts, so an attacker can easily get their username and password by easily doing a chat. 

And the other issue is people do not know what should we post and what we should not post on social media accounts. Some users posts all their photos on social media account by enabling them to view for anyone in the world and they do not understand the importance of managing their audience and posting things according to their audience. And people do not care what they need to say or not while they are chatting, they chat with unknown persons by revealing their private information and it can be harmful to them because we can not trust any unknown persons in social media otherwise we know them personally.

Apps privacy policy

When we use different kinds of apps and softwares on our mobile phones or on our computers we should consider their privacy policies and permissions that we need to allow. Normally we do not read or pay attention to these agreements that the apps or softwares provide us and we press agree for those agreements and continue using them. But as a good practice, we should read each line of those agreements carefully and decide whether we should agree or disagree with those agreements, because through these agreements that app or software company describe all the privacy policies of their product which need to know by the users.

And the other thing is allowing or denying permission for those apps and Softwares. Because normally users allow all the permissions asked by the app or software and proceed to use. But it allows that company to grab our private information unknowingly. Actually, all these permissions do not need to run the app or software and few and essential permissions are sufficient to work with that app but those companies add other permissions to grab users' private data and sell them to the third parties who are interested in that information and suggest us with their products according to our needs, conditions and our locations. For example, a dictionary app does not need to have location permission to do its normal tasks but it can ask that permission from the users for other purposes.

Why free apps, softwares, and services 

Normally we can get free apps, softwares, and services through the internet. But did you think about how that company earns such profit by giving us those things for free use? But the unpleasant truth is they sell our personal information to third parties and allowing other companies to pop up ads on their products, they earn that money while allowing us to use them freely. So, we should think twice when using those apps, softwares, and services to avoid violation of our privacy. These things are secretly done by lots of companies but now we can know how Whatsapp going to use our private data to earn money with the new privacy policy update.

This thing is always done by Google company by selling our searching details to the third parties who interest for them. For example, if we search in Google for shoe prices, then on Facebook we can see different ads about new shoe brands with prices. But these things are useful for users because they can get easily details about what they want and what they searching for.
